The first edition was printed at wir-machen-druck (see below). Then I found out that you can print only books with less than 600 pages there. Since my audience encouraged me to write more, and there is a beautiful scope that should not be broken (meaning we don't want to have volume 2 separated in two books), I searched for another printing service.
I found one in Leipzig, Osirisdruck that even cares about the environment a lot. It's more expensive but for me it is worth a factor of 2. Find a photograph of the books below:

I have many friends who have to think twice before buying a book. I luckily am in a better situation (not exactly rich but buying some books does not hurt). Also I write an utopia and would like to live it. So I just give them away The price is 0€. If you are in a safe situation I would appreciate if some help cover the costs partially via donations in the following manner:
Since I chose for printing the books eco-friendly and not using a dumping service, I am glad to finance the difference between the "wir-machen-druck" solution and the eco-friendly way. Meaning, I would be glad to get about 4€ per book on average back.
The eco-friendly books cost me 8.86€ each. I do not want to have more than 9€ per book. I guess otherwise I need to think about taxes. That's not worth the stress.
If you are uncertain how to behave, here a rule of thumb:
If you now and then hold a book in your hands standing in a bookstore and you think about not buying it because of money, don't donate.
If you are feeling really generous and you don't feel it in your budget, donate 9€.
Otherwise 4€ would help. But please do not feel obligated to anything.

Das Finanzmodell

Ich habe viele Menschen in meinem Freundes- und Bekanntenkreis, die sich zweimal überlegen, ob sie sich ein Buch leisten. Meine Situation sieht dahingehend viel besser aus (ich bin auch nicht reich, aber Bücher kaufen tut nicht weh). Außerdem schreibe ich eine Utopie und würde sie gern leben. Daher verschenke ich die Bücher einfach. Falls du dich in einer finanziell sicheren Lage befindest, fände ich eine Spende lieb, die mir hilft, die Kosten teilweise zu decken, und zwar ungefähr so:
Da ich mir ausgesucht habe, umweltfreundlich zu drucken, decke ich mit Freude die Mehrkosten, die dadurch entstehen, dass ich nicht bei "wir-machen-druck" gedruckt habe, sondern eben umweltfreundlich. Das heißt, ich würde mich freuen, wenn ich durchschnittlich 4€ pro Buch wiederbekäme.
Die klimafreundlichen Bücher haben mich je 8,86€ gekostet. Ich möchte nicht mehr als 9€ pro Buch haben. Andernfalls müsste ich mich wohl mit Steuer auseinandersetzen, und das wäre den Aufwandt nicht wert.
Falls du dir unsicher bist, wie du dich nun verhalten sollst, hier eine Daumenregel:
Falls du ab und an im Buchladen ein Buch in Händen hältst und dir überlegst, ob du es des Geldes wegen vielleicht eher nicht kaufst, spende nicht.
Wenn du großzügig sein möchtest, und es in deinem Budget nicht fühlst, spende 9€.
Ansonsten wären 4€ lieb. Fühl dich bitte zu nichts verpflichtet.

It was and still is an overwhelming feeling to have my own book printed in my hands for the first time.

If you want to print it yourself, here are some instructions:
I chose wir-machen-druck, the pdf MyrieZangeDieSymmetrieDerSchneeflocken.pdf for the pages, where I had to remove the first two of them, and the print cover, converted to a cmyk color map as desired by wir-machen-druck. I chose softcover, 468 pages, A5 80g Recyclingpapier, Umschlag Mattfolie.
One print would be 16,98€ but printing 5 copies already results in a price less then 6€ per copy.
